Parent And Teacher Relationship

A healthy and strong parent teacher relationship is very important for the holistic development of a child. At home parents are the second teacher of the child and in school teachers are the second parents to the child. So it is very important for the parents to get involved in the educational matters of their child. At the same time teachers also have a responsibility to know the activities of the child at home. This will help the teacher to mould a child not only to make him intellectually strong but also emotionally tough.

At De Paul School, the teachers have a good rapport with the parents. During PTM parents discuss about their child’s performance as well as their conduct in the school.

Following points will help to maintain a good relation between the Teachers and Parents to create a bright future of the students.

 Maximum co-operation between the parents and the school is necessary for drawing out the best in the child.
 Parents should carry out their responsibilities as joint educators in instilling in their children respect and strict obedience for all school rules and regulations.
 As the medium of instruction in this school is English children should be helped to follow their classes, easily and intelligently by certain amount of regular English conversation at home.
 Parents are requested to sign the reports, test copies, teacher’s remarks in the school diary and other similar documents so that they keep in close touch with the progress of their education.
 Parents are not allowed to visit their children or the teachers in the classrooms during school hours.
 No teacher is to be approached for private tuitions.
